Is music the most hardest form of art to create?

Heya R&P :)

You see like alot of artists (painting, drawing) with talent and stuff but music, not alot of people really make music compared with the other forms of art..Is it more complex creating music?

Oh and are my questions confusing or stupid..? Yeah this doesn't really belong in rock and pop but you guys are a smart bunch :)
Not as in playing instruments but actually thinking up riffs and such..
Um yeah I'm just asking if it's the hardest form to create I don't see what's wrong with that...

Very.

That is of course, if you're talking about real music and not some crappy rap where you say as many rhyming words to the same beat for 3 minutes....

No its not that hard..... What is hard though is making it sound GOOD....

Well music takes practice. I only play two instruments, but making music is not my forte. I enjoy it, but I am not that great. I do however paint and draw quite a bit, and I find that I am fairly good at it and I can really put my heart and soul into it. I don't really think of any art being "hard" it's only "hard" if you can't put emotion into it. Like, when I am trying to paint something and I have a hard time putting my emotions into it, it seems harder. I think the same thing applies to music, but people are quick to get their music out in the open and don't produce the best they possibly can.

Pull Your Punches [Thursduo] has a good point about it depending on the person, too.

How can you compare directing a film to composing a sonata to sculpting or painting to writing poetry or a novel? It's ridiculous to say that Akira Kurosawa was less creative than Charlie Parker or that Picasso had nothing on Melville. You can't compare differant mediums.

I would hazard a guess that most riff-based music is not all that complex.

Is music the hardest art form to create? It isn't so hard to make. Learn three chords. Arrange them semi-randomly. Music. On the other hand, to create a film, all you need to do is press a button on a camcorder, and to paint all you need to do is move a brush. To write, just put words together. It's quite simple to create simple art. But to create good art is a lot more difficult.

You have to master the instrument to the point where there is a bridge between your brain or your subconscious mind and the instrument.. then it just keeps flowing.. best music is never made.. its pure intuition.. if you actually try to create music, yeah its tough... but thats not the way it works.. it may seem complex to the third person but to the musician, i really feel its simple..
