Is ms. pronounced "miss"? So how can u distinguish bw Ms and Miss while talking?

I understand that in a written form we can differentiate between miss ( the lady is single ) and Ms. ( her marital status is unknown )

But r Ms n Miss pronounced d same??
Suppose am addressing a woman whose marital status is unknown... how will i pronounce Ms.Susan?
Now pls don't give me lame answers telling me to call her Ma'am or Madam
