Is modern technology "unnatural" for humans?

what i mean is, is modern technology creating an unnatural way of living for people? like, it makes our lives almost "too" easy, like way back in the day, we used to have to hunt for food, or even just 100 years ago, we had to do certain things that todays technology doesnt call for. in a way, its like living today is like "cheating", and unnatural for us. even being on the computer is more like a way of killing time then actually surviving or doing anything truly productive, at least for the majority of people. does anyone get what im saying? so many people seem to be bored these days, when they arent working they seem like, what is there to do? and thats perhaps why there is problems like drug abuse, over eating, excess partying, etc. its like people have gotten so bored and cant think of productive things to do. years ago, people were so busy living and surviving that there was no time to have those kinds of problems like depression or bordom. at least thats the way i see it.
