I was at school today. When I was walking down the stairs, I was in a hurry to catch my bus, While running down the stairs, I saw something shiny that sorta looked like liquid mercury on the floor. Maybe it was a metal piece. I think I stepped on it. I know it was stupid of me to not just wait a second and see what is it. So I came outside the school and caught my bus. When I was sitting in the bus, accidentally the bottom of my shoes touched the lower part of my jeans.
Lets say IF that shiny thing WAS mercury, would the mercury get on my shoes then transfer onto my jeans? Should I throw away the jeans and shoes?
Can mercury transfer from one thing to another like that?
I'm really really worried, thanks for any help. I read online that if any clothes came in contact with mercury, it says to put in TWO bags and throw away immediately (that scared the sh*t out of me)
Am I gonna die?
