Is Mazda at risk of going out of business?

I am considering purchasing a Mazda 3, but my father in law is very concerned about whether Mazda is on the way out, like Saturn. I have scoured the internet and can't find anything that would imply this is or isn't true. He is worried that since Ford sold Mazda's shares back to Mazda, that Mazda will very soon be out of business. Can anyone share any insight or better yet, a link, that would put my Father in law's mind at ease?
 
Mazda is not going out of business. Ford is selling Mazda to earn some money. Ford does admit that it has benefited from the merger with Mazda. Mazda is a smaller Japanese car manufacturer but is still going strong and will thrive under its own brand name. You may see scaled down and less dealers but the Mazda name will still be around.
