Is Mazda a good car maker?

I'm thinking about getting a Mazda Tribute but my dad doesn't think they are good cars. For any owners of Mazda vehicles, do you like it? How is the fuel efficiency and is it well made?
 
Mazda is a very good automaker with many great cars.

The car you're taking about is jointly developed with Ford. The Mazda Tribute and the Ford Escape are made on the same CD2 platform. I think the Mazda Tribute and Ford Escape are both pretty good choices for small crossover utility vehicles. If your dad likes Ford, he should like the Tribute.
 
mazda is a good car company. i have a mazda cx-9 and it drives fine. the fuels good and its a good deal(:
 
old fashioned american probably just tell him its part ford he'll love it cause ford for a while had a loaddddd of parts from ford hence why if you compare some mazdas and fords in the same years they look identical
