I live in BedforRABhire and simply cannot find any cinema anywhere within 30 miles of me that is showing March Of the Penguins. I am not surprised it has "only come 9th"...

Is anyone's local cinemas showing it? Even the more arty small places don't have it - am I going to have to shell out to see it in the West End?

It was in Edinburgh's vue cinema around halloween. I remember seeing it and being like WTF?? A film with just peguins?? Alrighty then :)

Yes I've literally just come indoors from watching it, in London. It was very good actually, I love Morgan Freeman's voice. A very touching story. It's a shame they're not showing it all over the place, I'm sorry that you might not get to see it. It's not fair really.

I thought I read somewhere that the release date is the 31st of Dec?!? Can't wait to watch it ...saw a trailer and a baby penguin was soooooooo cute :o  :)

It not being shown in Cineworld in Cardiff even though they have got the poster for it. I dont really want to see it as it isnt my sort of film but I ma surprised it has not had a bigger release especially after it did so well in the US!

I thought it was getting a general release this month - it's been trailed on TV for weeks.

I'm slightly concerned for the penguins though - on the trailer it says at the bottom in small letters - "contains mild peril". Poor things!

The adverts said In Selected Cinemas now or something.

I want to see this movie as it looks very good, I hope it goes on general release all over.

According to the BBC Film Diary, (and indeed the one on RAB;) )it was released on December 9th.

I am guessing that Narnia, Harry Potter, King Kong, Flightplan, Emily Rose et al are pushing it all out. The reason I know about this film is because my local Cineworld ran a trailer for it - I am sure it is not common practice to run a trailor, then not show the film... or is it?

Perhaps it will be shown in a few weeks, but I can't be sure. I think I will have to pop into London for the day and pay some extortionate price to see it there. Such is the lure of penguins ;)

The ad on TV last week said limited release 9th December, Nationwide i thought it said 31st Jan, but maybe it was december. Either way, its an american styled 'limited release' for now. nationwide sooooooooooon!

Is anoying. may just buy it off playusa.com as its out now in the states

It's nothing special, just an average wildlife documentary.

To be honest, the BBC show superior stuff to this all the time.
