double majoring? Here's where I'm at. I need people advice, not adviser advice (I have talked to them).
I'm a junior with 8 classes left to graduate with my Communications degree. I started a Marketing minor, and am in love with the major just like I love COMM. I just got an A- in my first Marketing class. However, COMM doesn't have good job prospects. I was thinking about getting a public relations certification but... I mean I can do that with my COMM degree, why pay thousands extra for that? Plus I don't want to be writing my whole life.
If I decide to major in Marketing, then I have to go back and take two Economics classes, a Calculus class (I'm really bad at math), a Philosophy class, and an intro to Business class.
What should I do:
Should I double major in COMM/Marketing.
Major in COMM, minor at Marketing, and get a PR certificate.
or do something else?
My life goals: Work for an advertising/media company till I can start a media company myself and promote a brand.
