i was recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder, and my mood swings are WAY more borderline-like (extremely short and intense). i take lithium, which is usually used to treat bipolar, will it calm down my BPD mood swings? and what else will it do to me? i started taking it thursday, how long before it begins to work? (make my bpd mood swings go away) will it make me really mellow?
