:confused::confused:

I had my myleogram. It wasn't too bad. Just a mild headache. I just got the results. Can anyone translate into english for me? I would really appreciate it;

On my Lurabar The main conlusion was;[/B]
Spinal stenosis at L2-3, L3-4, L4-5 and L5-S1.
at L5-S1; 5 mm broad based posterior disc bulge. This contours the right anterolateral thecal sac and descending right S1 nerve root. There is an additional 8-mm disc herniation at right posterior paracentral region that results in moderate narrowing of the right anticular recess and mild central canal stenosis. There is hypertrophy of the facet joints.
Overall there is moderate to severe bilateral neural forminal narrowing.

On my Cervical (neck) the conclusion was;
*Anterior cervical fusion at C4 to C7 with pseudarthrosis at C6-7.
*Severe disc dedgenerative change at C3-4 with retrolisthesis. There is a disc bulge and spur with central focality. There is moderate to severe central canal stenosis with mild flattening of the cord.
*Multilevel spur and ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament behind the fusion at C4 to C7. There is effacement of the thecal sac and spinal cord, most marked at C5-6.

Any insight would really be appreciated!!!! Thanks guys.

mine pretty much over,I'm just happy to be able to get to bathroom and at least wipe my butt.if it could only stay that way I be happy.not getting easy

Thanks, I am sorry to hear about all your pain and trouble. It does kinda help to know I am not alone. I just always feel so bad for my family having to put up with my moans and groans and complaining. I know they don't understand. I am glad that there are others out there that do!:cool:

So I'm guessing that you have a lot of lower back pain as well as neck and shoulder pain? Some people have some amount of stenosis without serious pain, but it looks like you have quite a bit, along with some degenerative disk disease.

I didn't have stenosis, but did have DDD along with a severe scoliosis. I had a lot of pain. For me, as for many others here, the solution was a spinal fusion. That might not be what they suggest for you, but if they do, don't despair. Back problems do mean you need to modify your life, but your life won't be over. Lots of people recover from fusion surgery and return to their jobs and normal family activities without any lingering problems except needing to be aware not to overtax their backs. Most of us hanging around here are the exceptions. We've had complications or multiple problems, or have unusual problems that have caused continued pain. I think everyone of us here, except the newbies, can think of lots of people who used to be on here but are gone now because they got their lives back.

Please do let us know what the doctor says. If you have other questions, please do ask. We aren't doctors, but we have lots of personal experience with all sorts of back issues and can try to help you. We do understand, much better than your family merabers who haven't gone through it! We know that frustration, too! So welcome to the board, and I hope we can be helpful to you.

Blessings,
Emily

What has your Dr. said ? No one can DX you but your Dr. Hope everything goes well ...sorry

I'm not able to see my doctor for almost 3 weeks (his schedule is swamped). So I am just hoping for some insight in the meantime. Thanks:angel:

I am not a doc, but know enough MEDICAL LINGO to know this is not a good report.

Bless your dear heart. I hope they can help you with all of it.

Do you do exercises of any kind ? Exercises have helped me more than anything.

I'm sooooooo sorry for you.

I have SI JOINT and FACET JOINT, OSTEOPENIA, SEVERE ARTHRITIS of L4-5
and Severe Fibromyalgia...........just thought I was hurting.

I hope you're gettin good enough pain meRAB to help you through.

BLESSINGS AND HEALTH

I am not a Dr to let you know what exactly is going on with your test.
I can see so far you have some changes which most people on this earth have: like DDD, stenosis, arthrities, etc. this all comes with territory and this changes start as early at 25 for all of us.
Rest of the information of your results only DR can describe for you
I know how hard this is to wait for the app: been there, done that. But at least you going to hear a professional opinion.
Are you in a lot of pain, honey?

Best of luck to you!

Thanks guys! My pain is only about a 6 now. At times during the day it can get as bad as a 8 or 9. They gave me the usual assortment of pills (vicodin and soma). It helps "a little". Thanks for letting me know you guys are out there and I am not alone!
