It is a fact that the human brain does up to 2000 processes per minute (my psychology class) but we read at rate of only 100-300 words per average. Because we read much slower than our brain functions we often get bored, distracted, sleepy, etc. when reading/studying.
Because cold environments (room where A/C is cranked low/ or just being out in the cold) slow-down the rate of brain activity, wouldn't it make sense that studying/learning in a cool/cold environment would enhance your comprehension while learning/reading since it would slow your brain activity and allow you to better focus on the material?
Teachers, instructors, professors: what do you believe about this based upon your own observations in the classroom?
Thank you everyone.
