I am 13 (turning 14 in november) and I am fairly good at both web developing, and designing. I started learning html when I was around 10 or 11, so I already have a few years of experience. I'm a Freshman in high school, and in College/Career prep class we've been discussing what we want to do with our lives. My dream is to become a pro skateboarder, but I've always had an interest in technology.
Anyway, I was wondering if learning C++ is easier if you already know programming, and designing? I might look into becoming a game developer. Also, what exactly do game engines do/allow? Are they just for creating graphics? If I get in 7+ years of C++ (starting now of course), will it still be necessary to go to college? (I'm more self-taught than anything) How much experience does it take to get game developer good with C++ (or c#, and the other one for that matter)
