This Hall of Famer was Tough as Nails during his Playing days with the Cleveland Browns.

His running style was more brutal and powerful than Brandon Jacobs and he just ran right over defenders.

He once played a Full Season with a Broken Toe without even telling Team Trainers or the Coach until after the season was over, because he was afraid that he would get benched. He also played through many injuries, and doesn't cry and complain after a loss like some guys do.....*coughs* Terrell Owens *coughs*
did he really beat his wife? Damn I didnt even know, I knew he was a Public Speaker at Prisons and Gang Infested Schools.
Yea I guess your right I just found a link to an article: http://www.cnn.com/US/9908/24/jim.brown.trial/index.html

...But anyways thats beside the point. He's still tough on the Football Field you gotta give him that.

Jim Brown's relative size back then would compare him to an offensive tackle in today's game. Imagine a 6' 5", 315 pound running back.

I believe the name you are searching for is Walter Payton.

For all practical purposes, he played the first half of his career alone on the field.

He was, the passing game had not developed then. All 11 defenders knew he would carry the ball and he finished with a career average of 5.2 yards per carry.

Jim Brown was definitely one of the toughest but I would give the nod to Larry Czonka (full back) for the 70s Dolphins. He was the toughest of them all. He was the only player to ever get called for roughing the defender. Google a search and read about Larry Czonka. His toughness is legendary.

Brett Favre is by far the toughest who ever lived!

In college Favre was in a near fatal car accident. he had most of his intestines removed. The Dr. said he would never play football again. Two weeks later, he was leading an upset victory over Alabama!

2003- Favre breaks his thumb terribly- an injury mnuch worse than the one that kept Romo out for several weeks this year. Not only did Favre never miss a game, but he led the league in TD passes!

I could go on for days about Favre's toughness. They say he has been playing with a separated shoulder the last few weeks right now!!!

yes he was so tough he beat his wife. If this is the same guy who was the Browns running back and in Any Given Sunday then hell yeah he beat his wife or women whichever. Everyone downplays it though. To answer your question though yeah he was tough. It must suck to be his wife though lol.
