Is it wrong to throw buckets of custard at the bride and groom outside the church?

Being our local "village idiot" eye am quite disturbed by some of your most unkind and vindictive replies. It is quite apparent to me that most of these, (common wretches) people seem to think Marriage as a special occasion. Surely a little frivolity's by innocent bye standers should not be allowed to mar every-ones day. It,s not as if you were throwing bricks or manure, (like we allis dose around ere) on such rare events. Unless of course the Christening is included with the marriage service.

The father-in-law of my friend's new wife came to my door this afternoon, with a bill for some dry cleaning. He also thumped me on the nose.
Why would he do such a thing? I hear you ask. Well, at the wedding on Saturday, some chums from the Raffles Club and I threw two buckets of lukewarm custard on the bride and groom as they exited the church. It didn't go down well, and when I sprayed 'Piggy and Horseface' on the wedding car, this seemed to make the tensions worse.
Should I be held responsible for some innocent japery?

I can see no reason for them to take offense, unless the custard was of the wrong color.

If it were white or off-white, or even tinged the slight yellow of tapioca, I am sure they would have had no problem with it. I can only guess that you used one of the newfangled flavors with tinting, and that is what has angered everyone. A strawberry or blueberry custard would be completely inappropriate on a sacramental occasion.

If you used white custard, I have no idea why anyone should take offense. Perhaps they imbibed some improperly cured absinthe before the big show, thinking it would calm the nerves?

The words on the car cannot be the issue. As you said, just innocent japery there, my dear sir.

HA HA HA! Dude good one, yeah its definetly tactless but what the hell, that sounds hillarious, you probably deserved the "thump" on the nose though, no offense.
