Is it wrong to steal/borrow an art style?

To sell in a book, not a picture someone made, but a style of a certain artist that i like *cough* Ben Templesmith, look it up because I think everybody has heard of him, or something that he created
 
for me i would say no unless your creating the art in this style to sell i look at other art styles and try to copy them to further my own skill but to try to sell them i would say it is wrong with few exceptions :)
 
no because your unoriginal and a rip off, but then again, everyone is influenced by everything around them, so borrow away, oasis ripped there whole career off the beatles, and there one of the biggest bands in british history, both of them that is...
