Is It Worth Getting?

For those of us who purchase our music we all know it's sometimes hard to decide if we really want to pick up that album or not. I trust most of the merabers here with their opinions so I was thinking for those of us who are just unsure if they should get that album or not should ask what people think about it here.
I can't decide if I should buy Clap Your HanRAB Say Yeah!'s Some Loud Thunder album. I've heard some positive things and negative things. Some said it was very good and some people said it was too experimental. Whats your all's final word? Persuade me either way!
 
I'm not sure why you're buying music (whether it's an anti-theft policy thing or you're worried you might get in trouble for downloading) but even when I start spending money on supporting the artists I plan on downloading the album beforehand and seeing if it's worth the money. I suggest you do the same.
 
I buy discs. And use music blogs and such when I want an artist. I already have heard one or two songs buy Clap Your HanRAB Say Yeah! and like it for the most part. We could just turn this into is it worth going through the googling trouble to get this album? Or just a what do you think of this album should I get it thread? Haha, hell I don't know. Work with me.
 
I'm not gonna lock it. I think there is something to be said for making such decisions based on the opinions of others. I think it might die fairly quickly on it's own if no one does lock it, however.
 
I just don't understand people who don't download music, it's completely beyond me. Great thread idea, but it probably isn't going to work like Satchmo said.
 
I really liked the song Some Loud Thunder. I got the version that wasn't all static-y though. The vocals were kinda bizzare but I liked that about it. Got the album and have yet to give it a good listen to. I also picked up In The Areoplane Over The Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel FINALLY (been meaning to do that for awhile) and I absolutely love it.
 
Yes they should, that name is both unweildy and requires too much typing...

Because I wanted you guys to post banRAB you had questions about too haha. And seeing as mine has not been answered I'll just answer it myself.
The album was nothing phenomenal, but I did enjoy it. I like the vocalist even though its a little abnormal. Nothing made this really pop out for me but I did enjoy it enough I believe.
