dealer just trying to make $? My 2007 Honda Odyssey has 28,000 miles. It has a maintenance minder system that tells you when to go in for oil changes and other maintenance. Recently it said it needed an oil change and tire rotation. However my dealer is trying to get me to do a 30,000 mile checkup for $400. I've looked in the Honda owner's manual and besides the regular maintenance items indicated by the maintenance minder, there's nothing that is recommended for 30,000 miles.
Is there any point to getting these standard checkups from dealerships at certain mileage points, or are these just big money makers for dealers?
