Is it worth bying the Xbox 60 arcade if i dont need a hard drive?

I was wondering if it is worth getting the xbox 360 arcade if i just wanna play games and xbox live. If im not downloading i dont need a harddrive right. Because my brother has an Xbox 360 pro with 60 G and i can only play it when he goes to work (4 hours)
