Is it worth Buyin an engine for my 92 honda accord?

I have a 92 honda accord but the owner who had it before me blew up the engine theres a small piece thats broken im not sure what its called but is it worth buying another engine.
I think its the cylinder header if im not mistaken it pretty much looks like a gear or something
