Is it weird to say....?

Saying you are "having a life" sounds as if you are announcing a pregnancy. But saying you are "enjoying life" or "living life to it's fullest" sounds more appropriate because it implies that you are not just going through the regular hum drum daily tasks but is actually enjoying what you are currently doing.
