Is it weird to name a girl Linden?

I think it sounds ok, but my friend keeps telling me it's a boy's name. Surely it can be unisex?

If you like it, use it. However, I see it as more of a masculine bearing, such as Linden B. Johnson, the President.

No, I know three female Lindens, including my niece. I never met a boy with the name.

I think it's best paired up with a really traditional and girly middle name.
My niece is Linden Nicole
My friends daughter is Linden Elisabeth
My other friends daughter is Linden Marie

I overall think its extremely cute
If I didn't have a niece by the name it would definitely be on my list!
