is it weird for a mother to smell her 17y/o daughters knickers?

because i saw my mum doing it (when doing the washing) and it only just hit me that i find it odd and creepy. Why would she do this? has anyone else ever experienced this?

she also went and turned the hose on(right outside the bathroom window) when i went to have a bath..whistling really loudly

should i be worried?

Or maybe she wants to smell something like smoke? You know to ckeck on you?
My mom smells my brother's hat to see if it smells like smoke!
 
She's probably checking to see if you're sexually active. If you are and she doesn't know, then you might wanna be worried. Especially if you're mother is ANYTHING like mine.
 
common you are a grown up now and she should check your activities. I think its not at al wrong. This the age where persons do many wrong steps..
