Is it weird for a guy to call you "boo" right after the first date?

I just started dating this guy..as in...we had our first date on Sunday night. We'll we've been texting since then and we're going to hang out again tonight, but he's been calling me "boo" in the texts. I just found this weird because I haven't known him for that long. Is this normal or strange? I don't know why, but it's kind of bothering me. Saying stuff like that is for people in relationships, isn't it?

As an example, this was the last text he sent me:
"Hey boo. I have a slow pitch game this afternoon so ill text you after that. : )"

Thanks everyone!
Also, the one date is really the only time I've ever hung out with him. I do not know him very well at all...

Ok first off, this isn't thaaat weird. I have friends who call each other that and they dont even like each other. Most guys I know just like to say that sometimes. And since you already started dating, I dont think it is something you should be concerned about. However, if this really does bother you personally, then maybe you should talk to him about it or ask him about it. But honestly it's not a big deal.

Hope this helps, good luck.

chill it just means he likes u thats all. gd luk help me please http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AjOp_9ubXwu0l.DB66.ri0Dsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20090623144628AAWK8M7

its a pet name like honeybear or some other gooey love mush like tht. i dont think its weird, it shows tht he really likes you. but if he goes 2 far with the pet name thing, confront him cause tht stuff can get annoying at times

i mean its fine. but if you dont like it maybe you should tell him to stop.

plus i havent been called boo in forever, usually its babe or baby.

and my last boyfriend called me that before we even started going out.

he could be the weird clingy type. For example I met a girl and we hung out one day and she started telling people we were an item. Just be careful.

first of all...unless he is black...slap the **** out of him for me. second the term boo is like 3 yrs old and out of style. third he is very weird because the term boo refers to one's bf/gf. slap him twice for me if he is mexican. im not racist but thats a black person term.
