Is it unrealistic for my character's village to treat her completely normal...

...despite her hideous deformity? When Jane was 11 years old, her village was attacked by invaders. In the midst of battle, she accidently has acid (a weapon of choice by the invaders) thrown into her face.

She lives through it, but is forced to go through life barely able to see out her left eye and with hideous burns covering part of her face and neck.

However, the villagers continue to treat her normally. For instance -

1) One of the villages top hunters (who she grew up with) has a romantic interest in her

2) Another village girl is jealous of Jane b/c the hunter likes her, so she always "tattles" on Jane to the village elders and teases her

3) Village children
