Is it true what they say about Ford?

I'm planning to buy a used Ford Mustang with less than 30k miles on it but I'm worried cuz everyone's telling me that Ford is not a good car and their quality is very inferior I mean is it gonna give me a hard time or have they improved the quality of their cars lately please if you own a 2005-current model tell me about it
 
ford has a bad rep do to the whole firestone thing which was only on the explorer and as far as mustangs if they were crap why are they still being made and the camaro stopped only problem ive come accross with mustangs is the 94-98 single port blow headgaskets because of a design but i have 220,000 on my 96 v6 and nothing yet except changed the head gaskets
