is it true that the sims games are always really slow at first, but they get better...

...the more you play them? my sims 3 is running slowly, and i was really disappointed as i've waited for it since december, but my friend told me that it's always like this at first then after a while it gets less slow. is that the case?

It is probably slow because of your computer....it doesn't have enough memory, ram or the graphics card isn't strong enough to run it. Actually once you start to play, it will probably get slower, because it has to remember more about your game as you play, and if you download anything that will also make it slower....so my guess is no, it will not get faster. You might try making sure all your programs that run in the back are off, and that you don't have any other programs open, so that all the power you computer has, goes to the game. Also maybe stopping and saving and maybe rebooting your game once in a while may help.

The first time you load any part of the game it will run slow. (ex: click on a hairstyle you've never used, going to a new lot).

After that it will stay constant or get slower if you don't keep your computer clear.

You'll get used to it though! lol

actually i have the sims 3 and at first it was slow but now its working fine. it might just be that im used to it or maybe your computer is having issues with it but most likely it will clear up over time
