I've always wanted to be an author. Even when I was around 8-years-old I wrote and printed out stories. Everytime I would say that I would write books, people would be like, that's so nerdy. And also, my grade 7 science teacher told the class that when he was little he wrote a novela, and everybody in the class said, "No offense sir, but you must've been really bored."
So I always thought writing seemed nerdy to other people.
But lately, I don't know if it's because Twilight was published or something, there are more aspiring teen authors. Not published ones, but they are trying. I thought that the people posting their stories on YA! Answers only did so because they couldn't rely on support from people in real-life because they thought it was nerdy. But I even heard a group of I guess you could call them "popular" girls who were talking to one of their friends and this friend was trying to write a novel.
So the main point is:
Are aspiring teen authors really becoming more frequent?
and
Why?
Yeah and I never wrote about paranormal. Mine was always about mystery or war or different dimensions.
