I was talking to my dad about car stereo and hearing stories from his past vehicles. He said he talked to a guy at an audio store a while back and the guy said that using a low watt output head unit would keep the amp cooler and in some cases produce more spl from subs. Is this true? And if thats the case why doesnt audio outlets produce low output head units? You could always control it from the head unit but just wondering if this will make a big difference.
