Is it true ,,that it is anti GOD to care about the environment?

I have heard some religious radio shows, claim it is wrong to worry about the environment because God has a plan to fix everything,
So we should do nothing to clean it up.
I am sure after people are gone from this earth it will repair it self,
But I find it hard to believe God would not want us take care of his creations.
