I doubt it. We are more educated but there is no particular selection that I know of that would make people now any smarter than people from 10,000 years ago. If you are talking about evolution, it works too slowly to know which direction something as hard to define as intelligence is moving.
 
Yes well, that's depend how you quantify intelligence. If you believe that I.Q. test are testing intelligence, then you should read about the flint effect.

On the other hand, if you don't believe in the I.Q. test, then, according to the level of hatred, violence and threat that exist in the world, you would probably agree that people are definitely not smarter. They have just more money.
 
Well, since we're in the Information Age we're having more information shoved down our throats at a faster rate than we have before, and now there's more new information coming at us faster and more discoveries being made all the time. I don't know if that means we're getting smarter faster though, or if that's just making us more like walking encyclopedias.
