Is it true that everything we know will be destroyed? I pretty sure this is true, but I just want to know that I'm not being punked or anything...

I've read and heard that in a few million, billion, catrillion years, we will either...

*Be crushed by the gravity of a slowly approaching Black Hole
*Perish in the Sun's explosion when it dies
*Freeze if the Sun becomes a dwarf star when it dies
*Or the entire Black Hole thing if the Sun collapses within itself

I believe that the latest theory suggest that information is not destroyed as a black hole eventually radiates away (known as Hawking radiation) over an enormous amount of time of course, carrying the information back into space.

We (the planet) will disappear long before we reach any black hole. The Sun will not be a black hole.

4 or 5 billion years, when the sun runs out of hydrogen. It will become a red giant and heat up the earth til life can't survive here any longer. The oceans will evaporate and the atmosphere will be blown away.
