I heard that one reason why some black women cant get married because if they do marry a guy who has least education then them, black women will think she is the one who wears the pants in the family, who calls the shots and wont let her man be a man. For instance, my best friend and his wife (both black but getting a divorce) were married for only a year. She finished college and is now a Lawyer. He also has a good job as a accountant but she graduated from Brown University which is one of the best schools in the nation and she always throws this in his face. He got his degree from a local community college. So what happened was one night we all went out to dinner. When the bill came, he picked up it, she said (what are you doing, you know I'll take care of that) which is cool i guess but then on the way home we got a flat tire and when my friend got out to get the tools to change the bad tire she told him she will do it and for him to wait in the car and acrouse she is always the one driving. He told me little things like this kinda bugs him because its usually the men who pays for dinner, who changes the tire on his car while the girl waits etc. She is the one who says what he can do and not do. She is the one who takes care of the finances of the house and so on and that is usually the men who does this but she wont let him so he feels least of a man because of this. Anyways you're thoughts?
