No its not in law yet but they will enforce it. my nan is 79 and hasn't resit her test at all and still drives.

Every two years possum,even on your UK licence if you drive in Spain with it. This comes into force as you reach 70,so be very careful.

at 70 years of age you are required to have a medical declaration form completed by your GP to state that you have no obvious aliments that would affect your driving this is sent to the DV LA (it is they who require it under the legislation ) and it is required every three years,,
and of course you have to pay for it
