Is it true that Asians mimic everything "American", because they are

embarrassed by their own culture? Asians seem to mimic everything percieved as "Western" or American, including music, fashion, language, and many other aspects of culture. Is this a result of there being a lack of connection to their own culture, or because they are embarrassed nor believe in their own culture?
 
You're thinking of Japan (which is very "western" but not necessarily embarrassed). China and many other cultures are very traditional.

Meanwhile, the US is seems to be in love with Asia. Everything you see has a label reading, "Made in Japan/Taiwan/China/Korea." And anime is extremely popular is the US as well, so I guess we affect each other rather than strictly one-way.
 
Typical uninformed stupid American question,if you stay on YA long enough today an American will complain that everyone hates America,which is also untrue and just as stupid,your lack of knowledge about the world is an embarrassment.
 
No. It's not true at all. Even in Japan, where there is a certain americanophilia among some people, they have a strong connection to their own culture and heritage.

The rest of Asia- you do realise that includes China, Korea, Viet Nam, Mongolia, Indonesia, India, Russia and everything in between, right?- has no such trend.

Sorry- you'll have to affirm your sense of nationalistic superiority some other way.
