My bf asked me to marry him wit one of those hot sauce packets from the Taco Bell, the one that says "will you marry me?"...I heard it's legally true that you HAVE to say yes and marry them. I was gonna say yes anyway because it was romantic, as Taco Ball was where we celebrate our anniversary every month. But I just need 2 be sure. Thanx

Well that depends on the circumstances...
If you actually held the packet in your hand then yes. You are legally obligated to marry him since this just became a legal contract with you taking possession of the document, even though is was a "packet" and it doesn't matter what happens to the packet afterwords, even if you threw it away.
Refusing to marry him now would be punishable by law for not less than 10 years or more than 20 years in Federal Prison. See U.S. Penal code 120.45 paragraph 16.45 sub 234.9, title: "Legal marriage contracts for couples in Taco Bell Restaurants" for more details.
It's Federal Law because Taco Bell is a corporation that has locations all over United States.

i dont think its like, legal legal, -he still has to ask in person- but, i think its ok. why is this in adolescence anyway?

if youre asking this question youre not old enough to get married anyway. but no, you do not have to marry someone. whether they proposed with a packet of hot sauce or any other way. theres no law that you have to say yes. and even if you say yes, you still could change your mind.

really? are you REALLY asking this?

cause if there is someone in the world who thinks you "have" to marry someone for any reason ever, then thats kind of pathetic.

and as for the people who took this the other way, and for some reason think theres a "legal" way to propose to someone.. ? wtf?

the story behind the hot sauce packet is that every year taco bell allows people to send in their own ideas for hot sauce jokes, and someone had managed to talk to them about having a hot sauce packet that says "will you marry me?" and its how the guy proposed.
