im 17. im fairly small only 5'3 and i weigh like 115lbs. but im such a couch potato. i cant run across my yard without panting like crazy. im so out of shape. its not even funny. but i want to dance to get in shape.

i have aways wanted to dance like you see in the movies. the hip hop and the ball room dancing. things like that. and to seriously learn how to really dance. i love dancing. i just want to learn more.

is it too late for me. because like i dont want to be the oldest one in a beginners class. becaus its like all the amazing dancers have been dancing since they were like 2. :)

am i too late?

no you're definitely not to late. i wanna be a professional dancer and im 14 and has never danced ballet a day in my life.im giong to start next year.i still believe that i can find a way to go to college with dance as my major tho.as long as you believe you will definiely find a way. trust me :-) dancing si sooo much fun.try it no matter what.so what if you're in a beginner class? practice every day an prove to the instructor/teacher that you should be moved up. If you think you can do it then you can do it.Don't pysch yourself out just because of your age. As they say, age is just a number :-) and if u wanna go professional, go for it.you can always go back to college rite? i mean if u really learn to love dancing and competing with dance. GO FOR IT!!!!!! because if u dot, u mite be making the biggest mistake of your life :-) and ull regret it in the future. trust me lol im regreting wat i havent done now lol ♥hope i helped some :-)

It's true, professional dances usually start dancing when they are very young. But you don't have to worry about that. You want to dance for yourself. Because you love it and, it's really a good way to get into shape. Take some lessons. What do you care what the age of the other students are? Besides, the dance school tries to put students of the same age and experience in the same class. Good Luck.

It is never too late i have been dancing for a long time and a lot of really good dancers that i know started when they were like 12. And i am talking like people who have tried out for so you think you can dance. I think you should go for it cause it is a good opportunity and so what if you are the oldest in your class, maybe you could try to get a friend to take it with you.

nope! never too late! I would suggest zumba. I'm 23, 208lbs and just started them. i loveee them! It's all kinds of hip hop, salsa, meringue etc.
