Hi, i'm 26 and i was wondering it it's too late for me to start learning martial arts. (I hope not). I was also wondering what form of martial arts you'll recommend for me, i'm 6 feet 2" and i weigh about 160 pounds. I'm good with my feet and hands because i play basketball. I think my hands are really fast though because when i involuntarily drop an object, sometimes i catch it before it hits the ground. I've thought about and i love judo but i don't know if i'm strong enough to be lifting and slamming people on the floor.

its never too late for anything, but dude, you go in there with that same mentality and you're gonna want to quit.

For the record, you are not good at anything related to fighting. Why? you just said so. You go to a gym to learn from people who are better than you and that can kick your ass in the blink of an eye.

How do I know? I went to a grappling class for the first time and got my ass handed to me. So don't tell us or them what you are good at, because they wont care.

go for it,, i just turn 40 and still do it,,

you will love all the new friends you will meet,,as well as a new hobby...

most classes offer a first class free, so visit a few of them,,,,,, which ever one you pick,,its always good to train on the side with weights, diet, and stretching, and heavy bag. you'll be amazed what your going to be able to do a year from now,,heck,,in a few months!!!

The answer is there in front of you You are never to late to learn. now if you like Judo try Judo out does not ever hurt to try out something you think you like ... if that doesnt suit your fancy try another martial art till you find what works for you.

Its never too late to start learning MAs. Its more important to find a good instructor to study under than picking a particular style to learn. Just remember MA skills and strength are developed over time through ur training. Good luck
