No. We are an advanced society, and will continue to require a system of currency for atleast another hundred years.

Before currency was invented, we spent our days hunting and gathering food to evade starvation.

No, there isn't. Not even close. Reliable fusion technology is still fifty years away, and even *that* will only supply us with free, unlimited energy. There will still be the problem of finite resources.
"Maybe its time for people to stop and follow their interest or whatever fancy them."
We won't be able to do that until we have a fully-automated society, which is atleast a hundred years away.
