I've been seeing my boyfriend for a little while now. He took me out on a few dates, and then the first night that I went to his house to spend time with him, we were obviously getting physical, but I made sure not to go too far. He then told me that he was fine with waiting, with a smile on his face.
Before this night we had discussed subject and he told me that he and an ex-girlfriend did it on their first date, and says that he doesn't want that same mistake to be repeated. He knows that I wanted to wait, and then asked me how long I like to wait because he really likes me and wants me to be completely comfortable when it comes. I have explained to him when I would feel completely comforable, and he says that he understands and is fine with it.
The biggest mistake that I have made in the past with previous guys is doing it too soon. They seemed to push me into it and constantly ask me about it. The thing that I really like about the guy that I am currently seeing is that he seems to be very patient with me and prefers for me to say when I would be ready. In my opinion if all he wanted to do was have sex with me he would not have bothered continuing to see me.
Lately though both of us have been wanting to have sex. I feel that I am ready, and also feel that since he has been patient with me that I would be comfortable. I think that these are the right feelings to be having before you decide to have sex with someone. Am I right?
