Is it the right time to buy Saturn and/or Chrysler vehicles at this time?

Great. And then who is going to service the warrantee??

End of model year (now) is a good time to look for deals. You might go woth a Pontiac, cause the GMC dealers are still going to be able to service Pontiacs under warrantee.. I would get that in writing though...

GM (parent company of Saturn) is obligated to honor all warranty work on Pontiac, Hummer and Saturn vehicles when the dealers close their doors. GM dealers will always have parts for these cars and they will always have mechanics qualified to work on them.

Even if GM as a corporation dies tomorrow parts will still be available and mechanics will still be repairing their cars.

Prices can only go so low. Just because they stop making these cars doesn't mean the cost to manufacture them decreases. Profits will still need to be made. Salepeople, dealers, and factory workers still need to be paid. The cost of manufacturing the vehicles still needs to be covered.

If you are a collector with millions of dollars, you could, concievably, buy every Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky as a long term investment. The only affordable American 2-seaters made in my lifetime, they will eventually become priceless. 30 years from now, they will be worth a lot of money. And if you have a lot of them, you can make a lot of money.
