Something has gone horribly awry with my fish tank at home. All the fish are dying... we got 2 new cheap goldfish from petco about 2 days ago and the next day one died, we figured maybe he wasn't healthy to begin with, then the next day, the second one died... and now today, our healthiest fish in the tank, a fairly aggressive koi fish has flipped over and i'm pretty sure he's not going to make it.
All the other fish seem to have a weird film on them, like finger projections with bubbles on them, and they have frayed tails and fins but mainly tails. I read that it could be over-salting but we really cut back on the salt because we thought it was causing it, but we're still having problems.
what could be wrong?
would cleaning the plants inside help as well?
and no thanks, I already have 2 dogs.
