Is it serious to be involved in a hit and run with a bike?

I was driving my car the other day and a bike flew in front of me when there was a green arrow... I hit him, but it did not seem serious at all... I rolled down the window and asked if he was ok... he said he had a few scatches, but he was fine.... the next day a cop shows up at my work and says I did a hit and run... he said he was fine so I just drove away.. also, he flew in front of me... it was his fault... is this a serious problem for me??
 
Could be. You should have filed a police report. I'd go down to the station and file a report now. You should also let your insurance carrier know about this, too - read your policy for the notification requirements.

Related, I've actually seen cases like this where the car driver sues the bicyclist (for damage to the car) and wins.
 
Yep, this is a serious issue. You probably already know this but you should have called the cops even if the guy wasn't hurt. Now unless you have an eyewitness to this accident it is his word against yours.
