Is it safe to take a newborn baby on a bicycle ride with you?

nothing you do with children is safe.

90% of parenting is managing risk, if you feel the rish is to high then dont do it, but they make equipment to do it.

If baby is on YOU as in a walking carrier (strapped to front).

Its down to YOU being safe on the bike.

Just the same as walking down the street really.

Myself, I wouldnt want to ride in a road with a baby
OR Toddler! Dont trust crazy drivers, but a spin round the park shud
be fine.

Nothing you do with baby chilrdren is safe, what i would do is buy one of those carriers tha you hook onto your bike and make sure your baby is well dressed, protected form the wind and if sunny, sunblock!

Yes its safe. As long as the baby is in a suitable carrier and dressed to keep warm/cool depending on the weather.
Babies need fresh air,a bike ride would be great.
I dont see how a bike ride is any riskier than taking the baby out in a car which people do the day the baby is born sometimes!

No. The carriers that fit on the bike are great for when the kiddo is a bit older. At a newborn's age though they have no protection if you hit something, accidentally fall, etc.. 1- you can't fit a helmet on a newborn, 2- they don't have a developed enough bone structure to support themselves properly

Yes of course.

They make all sorts of safety equipment for tots, even babies.

You just need to make sure you buy the right things to protect ensure you child is as safe as possible and ride responsibly.
