Is it safe to eat Pie filling if microwaved?

Well my mom is making some Sweet Potato Pie and I wanted to eat a little bowl of batter but she put raw eggs in it.....
Would it be safe to eat the batter if I microwaved it first?
Or could the Salmonella bacteria still survive
