I take 250 mg of Metformin per day. I know that I shouldn't drink while taking this medication because of the risk of Lactic Acidosis. But I was wondering if I can cook with it. I know that alcohol evaporates when it's heated, but is it actually that alcohol that causes Lactic Acidosis or some other component of alcoholic drinks? I've been wondering this for about a year and thought this would be the perfect place to ask.
