J Javi R New member Feb 12, 2010 #1 my hifonics brutus bxi2006d comes with two 80a maxi fuses. My main fuse is only a 60 amp fuse. Is it safe to take that one off and add an 80 amp fuse considering the alternator will give more electrical flow?

B breekatz New member Feb 12, 2010 #2 you could change to an 80 amp fuse but it would seem that you would not be getting more then 60 amps if the fuse has not melted ever.
