Is it safe/healthy to go the gym for one hour, 5-6 days a week?

Also, if I do this, how long will it take to see results? (i.e Noticeable weight loss, defined muscles, etc.) ? I plan to do cardio for thirty minutes, *light* weight training for 10, and another 20 minutes of cardio. Also, is it okay to go every morning after breakfast? Thanks, and any additional informative help would be well appreciated. ^ ^
