Is it really bad to go to the gym everyday?

I bike for an hour (its usually about 15 miles). I heard its bad to go everyday and that you have to let your body rest, but Im not sore or anything the next day...
jk i meant 13 miles. not that thats much difference.
im planning on doing crunches and leg and arm stuff everyday, but alternating what i do. so like legs/abs one day, arms the next. is that ok to do and still bike everyday?
