strengthen the service ???

well here is my story. i am at home and on the first floor i have 0 to 1 bars of service ... but when i go upstairs, i have 1 to 2 bars of service (mostly 2)

i want to know , since i am downstairs ALOT more than up, is there anything that i can use to strengthen the service within my house???

They make an indoor repeater for just such purpose. They cost around $200-$300 for a decent one, but it will increase the indoor coverage that you have.

Does your house have either brick or aluminum siding? Both will block signal.

There are antenna extenders, etc... maybe try one of those?

its usally caused by the techshield on the roof if its a newer home.

maybe switching to a phone that has hotspot at home, so you can use wifi (if you have a router) as phone signal.

Try the blackberry Curve. You CAN report this to T-Mobile and they can check the coverage in the area to ensure its your correct level of service and not a tower issue. The curve will allow you to connect to the T-Mobile server via WIFI giving you perfect signal in your home. I had the same issue in Spring, but thanks to the Curve and Wifi.. perfect signal, not to tmention the other perks.

And yes there are several issues that can cause reduced signal as well, but major modifications to your house seem an outweighed option compared to upgrading to the Curve with wifi.
