We would like to use something other than mulch or rock in our flower beds surrounding our plants and shrubs. I read that you could actually use vinca major because it's not too dense and will kind of grow around your other plants or the other plants will actually grow right through it. Is this accurate? I read that most ground covers are just too aggressive and will choke out everything but "well established shrubs and trees." Anyways, suggestions are welcome for some visually interesting alternative to mulch or rock that will work in Sunny Florida!
